I give lots of crusty looks some times

I get lavished in sibbling love from my larger litter mates

My cousin Lucy came to visit me.... last saw her 6 weeks ago in heaven

Brigham "Tex" is literally our rootin', tootin', "pistol" totin' cowboy. Changing his diaper has resulted in everyone getting shot by his "six shooter". We have all been casualties. He has spared no one. He gets plenty of love from his brothers and sister. Talmage has been extra concerned and gentle so far and there is tons of potential for a good relationship there I think. Talmage has went from a little terror to a sweet little guy. I have enjoyed his transition from our toughest child to an enjoyable little personality. I think Brigham being here has and will help. Not lots of sleep, especially for mama, but we've been here before and we know it passes. Sleep deprivation is kind of like fasting.... you just have to draw deeply on your spirit to get through it. I did it for years in residency for drunkards in the Emergency Room, I actually enjoy some of the night time I get with my kids. Some of those nights up are actually pretty precious and I've felt the spirit strongly as I've held, rocked, burped, or changed these little guys. Lani is unreal how unselfish and tough she is. My hero. Nothing like her in all the world...... I feel guilty for telling her I love her when we were first married, because compared to how I feel for her now after all we've been through and these fabulous spirits in our family, what I felt then wasn't a drop for the awe and love I feel for this wonderful woman now.

We Welcome Brother Brigham to the Quordova Quorum

We welcome Brigham Nathan Cordova to the clan. I am an avid biography reader especially of the latter day apostles and prophets. It started in undergrad when I couldn't put Sherrie Dew's biography of President Hinckley down (I read it in 36 hours- and it wasn't even a Harry Potter book!). Since that time many years ago I have read many. Each time I have finished one I have come to the conclusion that the best men of our day have held this calling-no question. Each of my children also have 7 letters in their first names... kind of weird. The two boys names I still like are Widtsoe and Ballard. I had a strange feeling (who knows if it was inspired) 5 years ago when Kimball was born that I was going to have 5 boys. I took the kids to the hospital this morning and they absolutely loved holding their newest clan's man. They also seemed pretty interest in what was out the 5th floor hospital window.

New Arrival

He arrived all 9lbs. 1oz. of him. Mom and baby are doing fine. He was born at 8:15 pm after a little bit tougher labor and delivery than the last few. We are greatful for him and have already noticed that he is a little bit more calm than Talmage. The kids are so excited and Lani's mom is here and a wonderful help. She definitely knows how to get in and help. We feel blessed to have another child, another person in our family. Children truly are a heritage of the Lord. We are excited and a bit humbled that God would continue to entrust us with his children. We hope to not let him down.

Odd(s) and Ends or Just ODD!

Just a collection of some pictures that I thought might be of some entertaining interest from the last batch of pictures I down loaded.... Maxwell setting a new fashion statement by giving his version of the "pant/short zip off legs". His version of the model assures you'll never lose one of the legs of the pant. Secondly, in our home of 12 foot ceilings in all the living areas and 10 foot ceilings in the bedrooms/kitchen/bathrooms, I got my wife a really nice mini ladder. But we have these cupboards that go so high in almost all the rooms. The pigmy Cordova family living in this home designed for 7 foot basket ball players. Sometimes I feel like Jack in the Giant's castle.... So I saw these handy dandy picker upper that some old people use instead of bending over to pick stuff up.... It works great for those cupboards just too high to reach. I think it also works for Talmage's "Jihad-biological terrorist" diapers...... I should get military hazardous duty pay just to change that kid....

A Giant has Passed Away 29 Dec 2007

Antonio Fajardo was sitting on the front step of his house November 1993. We had just exited Henry Gutierrez home and I noticed the little man sitting there. He later came across the street and asked Henry about us. Henry told us and we began to teach him the gospel. I had the incredible privilege to teach and baptize him and his family. He has been a pillar in the church every since then. He passed away 29 December 2007 from complication of diabetes and renal disease. We had been praying for him as a family for a couple weeks now. He was the Bishop of the Jinotepe Ward and had sent out over 25 missionaries into the field from his ward. He was an absolute faithful and wonderful man. Tough and faithful. Prayers of our family go out to this great man and his family. For all the young people he sent out on a mission, I guess, he decided to sent himself on a mission.........
